Imagine a place…

…Where you can breathe deeply, feel alive, and reconnect with yourself and the natural world - all while learning transformative tools and practices you can apply in daily life to reclaim peace when you need it.

Ready to dive in? Join us for a transformational yoga and wellness retreat from May 7-10, 2026 at OMG Acres, where rustic charm meets modern convenience on a 330 acre woodland sanctuary in the Potomac Highlands of beautiful Pendleton County, West Virginia. This retreat invites you to step away from the noise and into a supportive, trauma-informed space designed for healing and authentic connection—a place to give yourself permission to feel, process, and discover what you need to move forward and align with your values.

Why This Retreat, Why Now?

For many, 2025 was a year of profound upheaval - of unexpected  job loss or other stark changes following drastic shifts in federal funding.  Many of us still feel stuck in the messy middle.

Ask yourself: do you have the tools to help your nervous system re-regulate in the face of ongoing challenges? Are you able to process and move through your emotions? Can you shift into a state of rest and digest, or are you constantly stuck in fight, flight or freeze?

An Invitation to Self-Care

Intensity and changes in the world around us invite us to deepen how we tend to ourselves and resource our nervous system. This retreat can help you heed this call to both tend to what's here and find your way to what's next with self-compassion and grace, using transformative tools and practices you can apply in daily life.

Caring for yourself and your nervous system doesn't have to be expensive or hard, but it does need to be intentional. We'll help you deepen your understanding of tools you can take back into your daily life to stay grounded in a chaotic world.

This Retreat is For You If:

✅  You're seeking a supportive space to navigate the messy middle

✅  You want to reconnect with your values and reflect on how to embody them going forward

✅  You're ready to develop tools for resilience and meaningful living

✅  You crave connection with like-minded souls in a beautiful natural setting

What former retreat participants say...

Sarah, thanks again so much for such a special and transforming retreat…words cannot capture it!

You and Avery provided such a high quality experience. It was worth every penny.

I honestly cannot imagine NOT being on the retreat, and hope we can carry that feeling of wellness and peace forward, as we get back to all the things!

I loved the yoga, the mindfulness, the togetherness, the care with putting the participants together, communing with nature, ACT, the FOOD! - so pretty much everything!

I didn't realize the full extent of how much I needed this retreat. Thank you all so much for giving of yourself to make this retreat beautiful.

I can't thank you enough for your vision and flawless execution of the RRR retreat! That incredibly special 4 days together helped me get unstuck, make progress on processing my emotions, and figure out how to incorporate different mindfulness practices into my daily routine. The companionship with others going through similar stages of grief/anger/moral injury was powerful.

I'm not going to know what to do with myself tomorrow morning when no one guides me through a meditation, hands me a slice of quiche, plies me with herbal tea, makes me go up six vinyasa ladders, goes with me to scream in the woods, helps me process my emotions, sticks needles in my ear, serves me four course meals in a beautiful barn, and fully makes me feel cared for, safe, understood, and appreciated.

Sarah Atwood Barma

Sarah began practicing yoga in 2009, when a DVD called "Yoga for Inflexible People" helped her discover the transformative power of a healthy mind-body connection. Since 2016, she has been teaching vinyasa and yin yoga to hundreds of students worldwide, expanding online in 2020 through her podcast, Feel it All - Power Yoga with Sarah.

With an approach that's both spunky and deeply compassionate, Sarah meets every student exactly where they are, inviting them to lean on their innate strength and creativity to navigate challenges on and off the mat. Her classes weave together physical challenge and gentle wisdom, creating space for students to both explore their edge and to rest deeply.

Having spent 20 years in international development with the UN, USAID, and as a consultant, Sarah brings global perspective and cultural awareness to her trauma-informed teaching approach. She understands that true resilience and healing happen when we honor both our capacity for strength and our need for restoration.

For the past eight years, Avery and her family have poured their hearts into transforming the property: lovingly restoring historic buildings, creating welcoming new spaces, and nurturing an environment that radiates peace and natural beauty.

At OMG Acres, Avery’s vision is to offer a haven where guests can reconnect with themselves, with one another, and with the world around them. Drawing on decades of experience organizing and hosting group events, Avery brings warmth, intention, and a sense of community to every gathering. Sarah Bates

Chef Sarah Bates believes that food is more than fuel—it's a connection to the land, the season, and our community. As the owner of Wild Yarrow Private Chef & Catering, she creates farm-to-soul experiences that tell the story of West Virginia's rich agricultural heritage, sourcing from over a dozen farms in Virginia and West Virginia, including Season's Bounty Farm, Low Hill Garden,  Hemlock Springs Trout Farm, Cool Hollow Maple, Liora Farms, and Dry Fork Maple Works.

Sarah's cooking invites guests to slow down, savor deeply, and connect authentically with their food and each other. With a deep passion for foraging and wild foods, she finds magic "beneath the canopy, among the moss and pine needles," crafting menus that celebrate both cultivated and wild ingredients. Sarah's locally-sourced dishes reflect her philosophy that every bite should honor the land, the hands that tend it, and the hearts that bring it to your table.
