For many, 2025 has been a year of upheaval - of unexpected job loss or other stark changes following drastic shifts in federal funding. In the wake of this turmoil, it's natural to focus on practical steps needed to pivot to new realities, but what about our inner lives?
Ask yourself: do you have the tools to help your nervous system re-regulate in the face of challenges? Are you able to process and move through your emotions? Can you shift into a state of rest and digest, or are you constantly stuck in fight, flight or freeze?
Intensity and changes in the world around us invite us to deepen how we tend to ourselves and resource our nervous system. This retreat can help you heed this call and begin a journey of re-regulation, using transformative tools and practices you can apply in daily life to reclaim peace when you need it.
Caring for yourself and your nervous system doesn't have to be expensive or hard, but it does need to be intentional. We'll help you deepen your understanding of tools you can take back into your daily life to stay grounded in a chaotic world.

Sarah began practicing yoga in 2009, when a DVD called "Yoga for Inflexible People" helped her discover the transformative power of a healthy mind-body connection. Since 2016, she has been teaching vinyasa and yin yoga to hundreds of students worldwide, expanding online in 2020 through her podcast, Feel it All - Power Yoga with Sarah.
With an approach that's both spunky and deeply compassionate, Sarah meets every student exactly where they are, inviting them to lean on their innate strength and creativity to navigate challenges on and off the mat. Her classes weave together physical challenge and gentle wisdom, creating space for students to both explore their edge and to rest deeply.
Having spent 20 years in international development with the UN, USAID, and as a consultant, Sarah brings global perspective and cultural awareness to her trauma-informed teaching approach. She understands that true resilience and healing happen when we honor both our capacity for strength and our need for restoration.
Avery’s lifelong passion for nature and adventure has shaped every step of her journey. Raised as a military child, she moved frequently, later traveling the world through a career in international development. In 2017, after years of searching for a true sense of belonging, Avery—along with her husband, Dan, and dear friend, Mark—found their mountain sanctuary and established OMG Acres.
For the past eight years, Avery and her family have poured their hearts into transforming the property: lovingly restoring historic buildings, creating welcoming new spaces, and nurturing an environment that radiates peace and natural beauty.
At OMG Acres, Avery’s vision is to offer a haven where guests can reconnect with themselves, with one another, and with the world around them. Drawing on decades of experience organizing and hosting group events, Avery brings warmth, intention, and a sense of community to every gathering. She is honored to welcome you to OMG Acres, a place to pause, breathe deeply, and truly feel at home.

Chef Sarah Bates believes that food is more than fuel—it's a connection to the land, the season, and our community. As the owner of Wild Yarrow Private Chef & Catering, she creates farm-to-soul experiences that tell the story of West Virginia's rich agricultural heritage, sourcing from over a dozen farms in Virginia and West Virginia, including Season's Bounty Farm, Low Hill Garden, Hemlock Springs Trout Farm, Cool Hollow Maple, Liora Farms, and Dry Fork Maple Works.
Sarah's cooking invites guests to slow down, savor deeply, and connect authentically with their food and each other. With a deep passion for foraging and wild foods, she finds magic "beneath the canopy, among the moss and pine needles," crafting menus that celebrate both cultivated and wild ingredients. Sarah's locally-sourced dishes reflect her philosophy that every bite should honor the land, the hands that tend it, and the hearts that bring it to your table.
A former endurance athlete who spent countless hours in moving meditation through mountain backcountry, Brandy discovered the transformative power of sound healing during a reiki session in 2013. When a crystal singing bowl played, she was "blissed"—and a new path opened. This profound experience sparked her transition from corporate software executive to dedicated healing practitioner.
Brandy created Divine Pine Healing Arts to help others find deeper calm and presence in a safe, non-judgmental space. Her joy comes from providing what the moment needs and meeting people where they are. Brandy is trained in Usui Holy Fire Reiki (Master level), certified as a Holographic Sound Healer with Dr. Paul Hubbert, and a 200-hour registered yoga teacher. She has also studied Tibetan Bon practices with Tenzin Wangal Rinpoche. From her mountain cottage in Virginia, Brandy is passionate about helping others discover their own inner sanctuary and elegant living through presence and clarity.
