Patanjali's Yoga Sutra 1.14
Perhaps you feel drawn to yoga, but are new to the practice and feel intimidated at the prospect of jumping in the deep end at a yoga studio.
Maybe you are an experienced yogi, but your practice feels stagnant, and you want more personal attention to deepen your connection.
Or you are a surfer, and want bespoke strength and mobility work designed by a teacher who shares your surf stoke.
It could also be that you're in the situation I was once in: doing tough work in a challenging location, looking for a practice to ground you and a teacher to guide you from afar.
Whatever the reason, you know yoga would help, but you don't know where to start. You may have attended some classes or watched videos online, but came out without finding what you were looking for.
Coaching provides the missing piece: accompaniment. Someone in your corner, playing three roles at once:

We spend two hours of one-to-one time together each month, on Zoom. This may be structured as two full hour sessions or four half-hour sessions, whichever suits your schedule.
Between calls, you have a short practice built for you. For your body, your goals, and the time you actually have. You film yourself doing it on your phone.
I watch the footage, and we go through it together on the next call. We'll talk about the details of what your body is doing in various movements, discuss the felt sensation of these movements, and identify what tweaks you can make to build a practice that is safe and sustainable.
We'll also discuss how your practice is moving and any obstacles or questions you are encountering. That might be which styles might suit you and why, what props will actually help you, what to expect when you walk into a studio, or how to work around an old injury. In short, it's the nuts and bolts of building a practice that fits your needs.
Yoga's healing power, for me, has always been bound up in a personal practice and a common connection to other humans showing up on their mats. I've often practiced alone, then come together with others of like mind on retreats and other gatherings to reconnect to a community.
While the coaching I offer is one-on-one, the practice is not solitary. I bring what I learn from other students into your sessions, with the parallels drawn and the names left out. And I run retreats periodically, which is where people who have been practicing with me from all over finally end up in a room together.
It is not a one-size-fits-all workout program, though you will get stronger. It is not simply a class with fewer people in it.
It is a practice built with you, for your body and your life, and someone walking alongside you while it takes root.
"Thank you Sarah, for everything. You have changed me forever."
"Your class today was too good. Thank you! Trust me, I have tried many teachers, and you are the best."
"Loved it! The best possible start to the day. Thank you so much for offering this to the community!"
"Thank you Sarah. Great stretching and core training today. Love your yoga and your music. Looking forward to joining again."
